Scat Procar's are being installed
Gary wanted to install some new seats and selected some Scat Procar’s that will become short backs with out the head rests. To get them positioned to match the factory seat, we had to mock up the seat on stilts to match. It looks high but it’s just right. Wait till you see how we are going to mount them, your jaw will hit the ground.

Let there be progress!
Smooth, custom and off to sand blast. This chassis has some pitting in the tunnel that we needed to nuetralize and will apply a filler to the areas to make them super smooth. Powder coat is coming, be on the look out![[posterous-content:pid___0]]

Smoothness, it's a sickness
See the full gallery on Posterous We purchased a set of pan halves from  a company who imports them from Denmark. Not real happy with them, on a scale of 1-10, they are probably a 4. Almost unusable. We came to the determination that we would use the original versions and just use parts of them Danish pans. So we cut off the mounting flange, e-brake handle bracket, heater outlets and brake...

Narrowed Ball Joint Beam - How To
Want to narrow and add adjusters to your factory beam? Your in luck! We are doing the tutorial this week for ball joint and link pin applications. We started by hot tanking the beam to remove all the grease and grime to allow for a clean precise job. If you have a stripping company near you, it’s worth it to have them do it. $20 later, we are ready to go.

Narrowed Beam - Lesson Learned
Going through some forum post’s, I ran across this one. http://airkewld.co/w6rvwH Consider buying a beam from Pete at Airkewld. He can set you up with all you need [leaves, tie-rods, balljoints, etc.]. Although more expensive that the DIY suggestion from an earlier poster, it’s nice to have something designed and built to all work together. After having issues with another...

Chassis is back from the strippers..... pennyless
What we thought was salvageable floor pans, we uncovered repairs that were not noticeable. So we ordered new pan halves, removed all the heater connections, brake line brackets and soon the ebrake bracketry. one we have the new pan halves in house, we will make sure they match up before we remove the old ones. You never know, you know? Gary has decided to go gloss black on the chassis with...

Rusty Gold, the chassis never knew what hit it
With three projects going on at the same time, things become repetitious. Unbolt, bloody knuckles, cut and repeat. Nothing has changed with this one. We broke down the chassis and got it to the stripper in record time. It actually was done in less than 24 hours and back in the shop. Wheels are on there way from Magro Wheels in Florida, we went with some detailed 4 1/2 and deep 6 Fuchs in...

The Agosta chassis gets disa-semble-d, (cue Johnny...
See the full gallery on Posterous Brian’s chassis was pretty decent to start with. The typical problems existed that will be remedied with a full overhaul by the Airkewld team. With minor damage to the chassis, we should have that fixed in no time. Brian installed the same pans we use, the Wolfsburg West versions, but instead of spot welding them, he stitch welded them. We are going to...

The (Free-dough-lin) project is off and running. The body was taken off the chassis after Matt Howard from Deluxe Customs came over to assess the undertaking. Lots of metal work needed on this one. But if Gary, the project owner is right, and there are only about 200 or so left, the money and time will be well worth it. Once the body was removed, the chassis was assessed and the project was...

The pay-off, what a Daily Dream it is!

The Florida Bug Jam was a Super Sick show and I am blessed to meet all of our freinds and clients who follow us on Twitter and Facebook. ...
